The DIBS® Advanced Forensic Workstation is a highly developed and versatile item of forensic equipment and yet it remains easy and intuitive to learn and use. It provides copying and analysis of drives using Windows XP operating system. The custom designed unit uses standard components and sub-assemblies of the highest quality, configured in such a way as to maintain maximum evidential integrity. Hardware and software modifications are tailored to the needs of forensic investigation, enabling the investigator to accurately and efficiently perform computer forensic analysis.

At the heart of the unit is an Intel Pentium 4 3GHz processor and motherboard with 1GB RAM. The comprehensive suite of forensic software programs supplied by Access Data are fully installed and configured on the forensic analysis drive. Complex analysis tasks are easily performed with the click of a mouse.

There is also a further large partition that can be used for storing data, work in progress and for individual case analysis. In addition a second working hard disk is provided in a removable bay. This is ideal for specific case analysis and makes the equipment very versatile in use.

The DIBS® Advanced Forensic Workstation is supplied complete with two external interfaces connected by USB2 ports. One of these
interfaces is hardware write protected and the other can be used for both read and write operations. This makes them ideal for safely copying and analyzing suspect hard drives.
